Academy President receives and works with Mr. Yoshida Koza, Commissioner of Japanese National Personnel

    In the framework of the cooperation program between the Academy and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), in the afternoon of March 12th, in Hanoi, Prof, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics received and worked with Mr. Yoshida Koza, Commissioner of National Personnel and the delegation from the Japanese National Personnel Authority. Attendees of the reception were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, Vice President of the Academy; representatives of some units under the Academy.

     

    Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Academy received and worked with Mr. Yoshida Koza, Commissioner of Japanese National Personnel 

    Speaking at the meeting, Prof, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang gave an overview of the functions, duties, position and role of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Spending a lot of time discussing the significance and importance of building, training and fostering high quality human resources, especially the strategic staff of the Party and State of Vietnam, on the basis of the similarities, capabilities and resources, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Mr. Yoshida Koza discussed the possibility and content of cooperation between the two sides.

    Prof, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang said that together with the international community, Vietnam has successfully implemented the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and is implementing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The Vietnam 2035 report - Toward Prosperity, Creativity, Equity, and Democracy showed that the great challenge Vietnam faces is ensuring the goal of rapid and sustainable economic growth, as well as solving problems to transform growth achievements for social development and human development. In that process, Japan - a developed country with a progressive society and economy that experienced dramatic historical periods and events will provide effective and valuable reference lessons for Vietnam.

    Expressing his honor to cooperate with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in training and retraining programs for strategic staff,  Mr. Yoshida Koza affirmed that he personally and the Japanese National Personnel Authority would try their best to promote and ensure cooperation in a practical and effective manner between the two sides, contributing to the common success of the training and retraining programs, thereby contributing to the development of relationship between the two countries, which are becoming more and more intrinsic and effective.

    At the meeting, Prof, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang and Mr. Yoshida Koza with the delegates attending the meeting spent a lot of time discussing the plans and contents of topics, the period and the time that Japanese experts would present to students of the training courses for strategic staff of the Party and State of Vietnam. It was expected that the first class would start in the second quarter of 2019. The discussion focused on the topics on Local government administration, Super-smart social trend 5.0, world financial trends and policy recommendations for Vietnam; sharing experiences, advantages, disadvantages, problems posed to Japan in the process of socio-economic development as well as the necessary policies, thereby giving specific references and recommendations to Vietnamese practice, etc.
