Academy President meets with the Indian Ambassador to Viet Nam

    In the afternoon of April 24th, Prof, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics met with His Excellency Mr. Parvathaneni Harish, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Viet Nam.

    The two sides affirmed the growing strategic cooperation relationship between Viet Nam and India. The Academy President highly appreciated contributions of the Ambassador to boost the diplomatic relations between two countries and acknowledged the Ambassador's contribution to the development of the Center for Indian Studies at the Academy.

    The two sides also spent much time sharing and forecasting the vision of Viet Nam - India relations in the context of the two countries' relations being affected by world security issues. The two sides exchanged ideas about issues including energy security, maritime security, new generation trade agreements as well as cooperation between the Academy and the Indian Embassy in coming time.

    Expressing sincere thanks to the Academy President for his in-depth and open ideas, the Indian Ambassador emphasized that the two countries have many common strategic issues. India always highly appreciates Viet Nam’s important role in ASEAN and Viet Nam is always in the focus of India’s Look East policy. In the future, India would continue to send experts to Viet Nam and the Academy for discussing issues of mutual interest.

    Mr. Parvathaneni Harish would end his term in Vietnam to return to India for a new assignment./.
