Scientific workshop “Applying and creatively developing Ho Chi Minh's thought in the new era”

The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) organized the third scientific workshop titled “Applying and creatively developing Ho Chi Minh’s thought in the new era” on the afternoon of 9th April 2025 in Hanoi.

The event was attended and chaired by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of the HCMA, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, Vice President of the Academy; and Prof. Dr. Tran Van Phong, Standing Member of the Academy’s Scientific Council.

With more than 40 presentations and many opinions from various perspectives, reports and presentations continued to clarify the content, value, significance, stature, practical vitality, and longevity of Ho Chi Minh’s legacy. At the same time, they affirmed Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, revolutionary methods, and personal style are extremely great and valuable assets of the nation and humanity.

The presentations unanimously affirmed firmness and commitment on the foundation of Marxism-Leninism and the revolutionary path that he discovered, led and designed for the future of the nation. Our Party has increasingly recognized the importance and necessity of applying and creatively developing Ho Chi Minh’s thought. As a result, the Vietnamese people have created miracles in nearly a century under the leadership of the Party and 40 years of carrying out the renovation process. This reality serves as vivid and convincing evidence of the enduring guidance and forward-looking vision embodied in Ho Chi Minh’s thought for the Vietnamese revolution.

The presentations also continued to clarify and deepen the understanding of the content, goals, and destinations of the new era of developmentan era of prosperity for the Vietnamese people. They affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh made the Vietnamese nation glorious on its path to liberation and development, paving the way toward a bright future. All the necessary conditions and premises have been gathered thanks to the firm foundation of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s thought, the Vietnamese people, with the position and strength accumulated after 40 years of renovation, and the Party's will in combination with the people’s heart. These will bring the country into a new era, an era of national rise following the era of independence, freedom, socialism construction and renovation. The new era of development is one in which the country achieves rapid, sustainable, and inclusive growth, while steadfastly safeguarding the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Many participants proposed viewpoints and solutions to further promote research, application and creative development of Ho Chi Minh’s thought in the new era of development. According to the discussions, the application and development of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, based on its profound theoretical and practical value, must come from an objective, comprehensive, historical, and context-specific perspective, steadfastness and renovation, innovation and creativity. All aim at the highest goal: building a socialist Vietnam with prosperous people, a strong nation, and a society that is democratic, equitable, civilized, and happy.
