On the afternoon of April 21, at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), a meeting with the delegation of officials from the Korean Ministry of Interior and Safety was hosted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Nghia, Director of the Department of International Cooperation. The Korean delegation was led by Mr. Hwang Myoungsuk, Director of Department of Organization and Innovation Management, Ministry of Interior and Safety.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Nghia, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, gave an overview of the functions, tasks and achievements of the Academy in various fields of work.
Providing basic information about the cooperation results between the Academy and Korean partners, it was said that during the official working trip to Korea in July 2024, the delegation of the HCMA led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y, Vice President of the Academy, worked with the National Human Resources Development Institute of Korea (NHI), under the Korean Ministry of Human Resources Management. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by both sides at the meeting.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Nghia, the MOU has created an essential premise for promoting cooperation in the field of staff training, scientific research and development of high-quality public human resources between Vietnam and Korea.
Both sides exchanged and assessed the preliminary results of the implementation of the MOU between the Academy and NHI after nearly a year of signing; at the same time, discussing cooperation orientations in the next phase, especially in areas of mutual interest such as: exchanging experts, organizing joint seminars, training mid-level and senior officials, sharing models and experiences in modern public administration in the context of globalization and digital transformation.
