New academic and theoretical contributions:

On the basis of a selective review and incorporation of published domestic and international studies, the dissertation systematizes and elucidates the connotations of relevant concepts, analyzes the manifestations of students' lifestyles under the influence of social media across their principal activities - learning, scientific research, skills development; political and social engagement; cultural and spiritual life; as well as daily communication and specific social relationships. At the same time, it clarifies the factors that shape the lifestyles of students in Da Nang City under the influence of social media.

New findings and main results of the thesis

Building upon theoretical issues, the dissertation surveys, analyzes, and evaluates the actual situation; identifies the causes and the problems arising from the reality of students' lifestyles in Da Nang City under the influence of social media.

Accordingly, the dissertation identifies key orientations and proposes five innovative groups of solutions that are closely aligned with the specific realities of students in Da Nang City, including: (1) Enhancing the awareness and responsibility of stakeholders; (2) Creating a healthy learning environment; (3) Strengthening state management of social media and reinforcing inspection, supervision, and coordination among stakeholders; (4) Innovating the content and methods of education and communication; (5) Promoting students' self-awareness, proactiveness, and active engagement.

The research results can be applied not only to students in Da Nang City but also provide a scientific basis for schools, Youth Union officials, and Student Association leaders in Vietnam to foster positive lifestyles and mitigate negative ones among students in the context of social media influence toward 2030.
