Opening Ceremony of the Training Course Updating Knowledge and Skills for Planning Officers of the 14th Party Central Committee (First Class)

Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, delivered the opening speech of the Training Course

Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, articulated Uncle Ho's lessons during his lifetime: "Cadres are the root of all work", "success or failure depends on good or bad cadres". This is also our Party's consistent position and approach: the cadres will determine whether the revolution succeeds or fails, and the cadre activity is a crucial component of Party building.

He emphasized that cultivating a force of cadres, particularly those at the strategic level, is a crucial Party mission that needs to be executed consistently, meticulously, methodically, precisely, and successfully. Building cadres will result in investments in long-term growth to enhance capability, caliber, and status for cadres at all levels to better fulfill the demands of duties in the new era.

The students attending the course were carefully checked by the Politburo and the Secretariat, demonstrating the trust and confidence of the Party, the State, and the people. Therefore, the Standing Secretariat requested that the students have a thorough understanding of their obligations in terms of training and studying, determine a serious attitude, and properly implement Uncle Ho's teachings: “We must learn for work, to be human, to become cadres. We must study to serve the Union, the classes and the people, the Fatherland and humanity”.

Furthermore, to comprehend new theoretical and practical topics more thoroughly, students must actively communicate and exchange during the course. Simultaneously, it is imperative to share experiences about the administration of pivotal roles within central agencies and provinces directly under the central government. With the knowledge and experience obtained from the training course, students will be better equipped to do assigned duties in the future.

The training curriculum was methodically and scientifically developed by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in coordination with the Central Organizing Committee and Central agencies, refined and enhanced by using lessons learned from earlier sessions. It also received direct contributions from the nation's top group of theoretical scientists as well as numerous Party and State leaders.
