Information of the doctoral thesis: “The Communist Party of Vietnam leads cultural diplomacy from 2006 to 2016”

New academic and theoretical contributions: 

On the basis of selectively inheriting the results of related scientific works, the doctoral student has solved the following problems: 

Firstly, identifying the factors affecting the process of the communist party of Vietnam leading cultural diplomacy. 

Secondly, systematizing the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State on cultural diplomacy from 2006 to 2016. 

Thirdly, the process of directing the implementation of cultural diplomacy from 2005 to 2015 in the fields of foreign information, promoting the image of Vietnam.

New points drawn from research and survey results:

The thesis analyzes and evaluates the process of the Communist Party of Vietnam leading cultural diplomacy from 2006 to 2016; points out the achievements, limitations, and causes of the achievements and the limitations. 

On that basis, the thesis summarizes some experiences as follows: Firstly, raising the awareness of the entire Party and people about cultural diplomacy and constantly supplementing and perfecting the Party’s guidelines and policies of the Vietnamese State on cultural diplomacy in accordance with reality. Secondly, consistently and actively implementing the policy on socializing cultural diplomacy. Thirdly, promoting the proactive and creative spirit of ministries, branches, localities, and people in thoroughly understanding and applying the viewpoints, guidelines, and policies of the Party and State on cultural diplomacy. Fourthly, building a cultural diplomacy strategy, perfecting the legal system, regimes, and policies on cultural diplomacy in the work related to the Vietnamese community abroad. Fifthly, closely linking cultural diplomacy with political diplomacy and economic diplomacy; and preserving national cultural identity.
