The Institute of Culture and Development under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organized a scientific seminar “China's experience in developing cultural industry” on the morning of November 22nd, 2024. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Hau, General Director of the Institute of Culture and Development chaired the seminar.

Overview of the event

Prof. Dr. Xiang YongGeneral Director of the Institute of Cultural Industry of Peking University was the keynote speaker of the seminar. The discussion topic revolved around the combination of culture and tourism, along with experiences and lessons from China's development in this field.

Delivering an opening remark, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Hau sent a warm welcome to Prof. Dr. Huong Dung and his colleagues who visited, exchanged and held a scientific seminar with the Institute of Culture and Development.

She stated that the Communist Party of Vietnam regards focusing on building and developing the cultural industry along with perfecting the market for cultural products and services as one of the important tasks to build and develop Vietnamese culture and people in the current period. In the process of finding solutions to promote the development of Vietnam's cultural industries, learning and referring to the experiences of other countries is very important. It can provide useful suggestions in many aspects: institutions, policies, resources, and organizational methods to develop the cultural industry.

China is a country with a lot of experience in developing cultural industries. In recent years, China has gained many achievements in the development of cultural industries, becoming one of the world's leading countries in the development of cultural industries, especially in the fields of cinema, publishing, entertainment game software, etc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Hau wanted to learn about the cultural industry development experience of countries around the world, especially China's experience.
