Officials and leaders delegation of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics participate study programs, training, exchanges, and working sessions in Germany and the Netherlands

From October 29 to November 5, 2024, 12 members of the Academy delegation and leaders of provincial political schools led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Standing Vice President of the Academy, conducted research and exchanges on "Public administration, public investment and policies on recruitment, use, and development of civil servants in the Federal Republic of Germany " and implemented co-operation contents between the Academy's units and the Institute for International Social Studies, Netherlands.

In Frankfurt, Germany, professors and lecturers from Goethe University introduced and discussed with the delegation the topic of "Public administration, public investment, and policies on recruitment, use, and development of civil servants in the Federal Republic of Germany". They also explored the Goethe University Library's storage system and smart operating model.

During the working program, the delegation worked closely with Prof. Roman Poseck, Minister of the Interior of Hessen State, and his colleagues on issues concerning the recruitment, use, and development of civil workers in Germany in general, and in Hessen State in particular. In addition, they also collaborated and discussed the topics "Challenges of the digitalization process for the public administration system in Germany" and "The current status of the digitalization process in Hessen State" with Mr. Stefen Sauer, State Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Technology Application of Hessen State, and some civil servants from the Ministry. Luu Xuan Dong, Consul General of Vietnam in Frankfurt City, also attended the working sessions.

The working sessions were held in an open environment, with members of the Academy delegation actively discussing with German professionals in order to gain vital insights and lessons from Germany's current successful development.

As a part of the working schedule, the delegation came and laid flowers at the Karl Marx and Friedrick Engels monument in Berlin, Germany; visited the European Union Headquarters and the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.

In the Netherlands, the Delegation visited and collaborated with the International Institute of Social Sciences (EUR-ISS), a partner that has been in academic collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics since 2007, with numerous cooperative research projects successfully completed.

Prof. Ruard Ganzevoort, Director of EUR-ISS, and staff of the Institute discussed and informed the Delegation about the Institute's activities and issues related to the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between EUR-ISS and the Institute for Human Rights, as well as future cooperation activities between the Institute and the Academy, with emphasis on the implementation of joint research projects on human rights in climate change, training and fostering high-level resources, etc.

The Standing Vice President of the Academy highly appreciated the cooperation results between EUR-ISS and the Institute of Human Rights in particular and with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in general over the past 20 years. He suggested that in the coming time, it is necessary to keep on deepening and making the cooperation more effective by implementing the project on approaching human rights in climate change to the units under the Academy as well as provincial political schools; boosting the interchange of expert delegations and scientists; exchanging publications and cooperating in publishing joint research works; organizing training courses for cadres and lecturers of the Academy system and provincial political schools of Vietnam.
