New theoretical contributions:

The dissertation systematizes and supplements the theory of state support for new-style agricultural cooperatives (ACs) under the socialist-oriented market economy. Specifically, it clearly defines the concept, contents, evaluation criteria, and influencing factors of state support for new-style ACs in line with Vietnam's socialist-oriented market economy.

New Practical Contributions:

The dissertation provides a vivid and comprehensive depiction of the development process of new-styke agricultural cooperatives in Vietnam since the enactment of the 2012 Cooperative Law.

It generalizes and identifies the achievements as well as the issues that need to be addressed in state support for new-style agricultural cooperatives in Vietnam during the period 2013-2023.

The dissertation contributes to affirming the correctness of the Communist Party of Vietnam's policy on sustainable development of all forms of cooperatives, especially new-style agricultural cooperatives. It emphasizes that new-style agricultural cooperatives play an important role in developing a modern agricultural sector and can attract farmers if adequately supported by the State.

The dissertation proposes viewpoints (orientations) and solutions to strengthen state support so that new-style agricultural cooperatives in Vietnam can fulfill their important role in the period from now to 2030.
