Newacademic and theoreticalcontributions:

The dissertation systematizes and furtherdevelops the theoretical foundations of Party ideological foundation protection in cyberspace at military academics and officer training colleges. It formulates a conceptual framework and identifies five core components of Party ideological foundation protection in cyberspace at military academics and officer training colleges in the current period, including:

(1) Disseminating and applying leadership, directive, and regulatory documents issued by the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defence, and the General Political Department, and traslating them into resolutions, programmes, plans, regulations, and guidelines on the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation in cyberspace;

(2) Organising the implementation of resolutions, programmes and plans concerning the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation in cyberspace;

(3) Coordinating organisations and forces involved in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in cyberspace;

(4) Investing in and ensuring information technology infrastructure, physical and technical facilities, and financial resources to support the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation in cyberspace;

(5) Conducting inspection, supervision, preliminary reviews, final evaluations, and lessons-learned activities relating to the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation in cyberspace.

New findings derived from research and survey results:

The dissertation draws a number of practical lessons regarding Party ideological foundation protection in cyberspace at military academies and officer training colleges.

It proposes a comprehensive system of measures aimed at strengthening such work in the current period, including two breakthrough solutions:

(1) Reforming the organisational model of specialised forces and the network of electronic information platforms dedicated to protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in cyberspace at military academies and officer training colleges;

(2) Promoting the application of technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation in cyberspace at military academies and officer training colleges.
