New academic and theoretical contributions:

Firstly, Provide a new approach to sustainable livelihood research for Khmer people in the Southwest in the context of climate change.

Second, scientific explanation of concepts; content, evaluation criteria and influencing  factors to ensure sustainable livelihoods of the Khmer people in the Southwest in the context of climate change.

Third, the thesis has established a livelihood analysis framework to ensure sustainable livelihoods of the Khmer people in the Southwest from the perspective of political economic science.

New points drawn from research and survey results:

The thesis studies the current situation of ensuring sustainable livelihoods of the Khmer people in the Southwest in the context of climate change from 2017-2022, evaluating the achievements, limitations and causes of the achievements. that limitation.

On that basis, we make predictions about climate change, propose directions and 5 feasible solutions: (1) Raise awareness of authorities at all levels and Khmer people about livelihood issues associated with climate change. Climate Change; (2) Complete the planning and policy institutions of the Party and State for socio-economic development of ethnic minority areas in the Southwest; (3) Improve resources, promote internal factors to ensure sustainable livelihoods of Khmer people in the context of climate change; (4) Improve the capacity of the government system to detect and respond to climate change; (5) Transforming livelihoods, overcoming and limiting the impact of climate change on Khmer people.
