New academic and theoretical contributions:

On the basis of acquisition and inheritance of results of studies scientific works: Firstly, the thesis approaches the issue of marine economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security in Thai Binh province from the perspective of political economy. Secondly, pointing out the contents of marine economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security, including: developng marine economic production forces associated with ensuring national defense and security; perfecting production relations in marine economic development in association with ensuring national defense and security; formulate evaluation criteria for marine economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security according to the above two groups. At the same time, point out factors affecting marine economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security.

New points drawn from research results:

The thesis analyzes and assesses the current situation of marine economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security in Thai Binh province according to 2 groups of contents: developing marine economic production forces associated with ensuring national defense and security and completing production relations associated with ensuring national defense and security in Thai Binh province in the period of 2010-2022. From there, highlighting the current situation between the implementation of the task of marine economic development associated with the implementation of the task of ensuring national defense and security; identify the limitations and the causes of the limitations. On that basis, propose some most suitable solutions to continue promoting marine economic development in association with ensuring national defense and security to meet the requirements of the new siatuation in Thai Binh province until 2030 with a vison to 2045.
