Information of the doctoral thesis: "Today’s reading culture among Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics students"

Regarding new academics and theoretical contributions: Based on research and inheriting the achievements of related published works, the thesis has approached the issue of the reading culture of student at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics from the perspective of cultural studies and there are new contributions, as follows: Firstly, the thesis has pointed out the elements of the reading culture of students at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, including reading values and reading standards. Secondly, the thesis has analyzed deeply factors affecting students’ reading culture. Thirdly, the thesis clarifies the role of reading culture for students.

New points drawn from research results:

Firstly, the thesis has identified the reading culture of students at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics through understanding and analyzing two componets: reading values and reading standards. Secondly, the thesis has analyzed and evaluated factors affecting the reading culture of students at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Thirdly, the thesis has predicted the changing trend and identified the problems facing the reading culture of students at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics today. Fourthly, the thesis has proposed some solutions and recommendations to develop the reading culture of students at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in the current period./.
