Buil ding on the findings from significant related research, this dissertation contributes to the theoretical foundation for improving the legal framework regarding stateless persons in Vietnam. The research outcomes serve as a reference for governmental bodies in refining legal provisions related to stateless individuals, enhancing their status, and addressing the issue of statelessness in Vietnam today.
New findings drawn from research results and surveys of the thesis:
Based on theoretical issues surrounding the improvement of laws concerning stateless persons, the dissertation systematically analyzes and evaluates the contents of Vietnamese law pertaining to stateless individuals.
It identifies achievements and limitations while analyzing the reasons behind these outcomes. Consequently, the dissertation develops six perspectives and proposes three general solutions alongside six specific solutions, include: (1) solutions to improve legal content on stateless people; (2) solutions to strengthen the capacity of institutions to develop and enforce laws on stateless persons; (3) solutions to strengthen domestic laws and join international treaties.
