On the morning of 4th November 2024, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics coordinated with the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission to hold the opening ceremony of the training course to foster and update knowledge for Heads and Deputy Heads of the Party Committee’s Organisation Commission of the cities and provinces under the central management and equivalent in 2024. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y, Vice President of the Academy, attended and chaired the event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y emphasised that the task of successfully completing the goals of the provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and preparing for Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term towards the 14th National Party Congress sets many new and higher requirements for the organisational work as well as the entire work of Party building and rectification, requiring continuous training and fostering to improve political qualities, theoretical level, knowledge, leadership and management skills to be on par with the tasks for cadres at all levels, including leaders of the organisational work of Party committees.
The Vice President of the Academy said that the course has been developed on the basis of regulations on training and fostering leaders, managers and practical demands for national development, requirements and tasks of organisational work in the new period.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y asked that each student should thoroughly grasp directions of the Party Central Committee and General Secretary To Lam on requirements to build a contingent of cadres, especially leaders at all levels with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige on par with theirduties in the new conditions, bringing the country firmly into a new era of development; make efforts, be proactive, positive, and focus on studying; strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the Academy to complete the objectives of the course with the highest results, and effectively apply the theoretical knowledge and experience imparted by the lecturers into practical work in the localities.
The training course is held from 4th November 2024 to 8th November 2024. During the five-day course, trainees will study, discuss and share the Party's new viewpoints on organisational work; update theoretical and practical issues of the country and the world; knowledge and experience in leadership, management and Party building work, in the spirit of the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress in association with the orientations in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress.
