On the morning of 21st April 2025, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) organized the opening ceremony of a training course to develop skills and professional methods for library document classification and inaugurated an exhibition themed “Vietnam – Ever Shining Golden Pages of History”.
These events are held during the historic days of April to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), welcome the Congresses of Party Committees at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, and celebrate the Vietnam’s Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Standing Vice President of the Academy, expressed his honor and heartfelt emotion at attending and speaking at an event that not only cultivates profound professional skills but also carries deep cultural significance and honors great historical values.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, the training course served as a small yet solid brick in the development of a modern library system that represented a necessary step toward enhancing the quality and professionalism of information and library activities across the HCMA. The course also helped participants update in-depth knowledge, engage with modern principles and rules of document classification, and apply their learning through practical and real-world exercises.
To ensure the course meets its goals and expectations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac encouraged the trainees to take initiative in their studies and actively engage in discussions to enhance their professional capacity and together build a modern, interconnected library system that is capable of meeting the increasingly high demands of training and developing leaders and managers in the new situation.

* In addition to professional training activities for officials involved in information and library work across the Academy system, the Academy also inaugurated an exhibition themed “Vietnam – Ever Shining Golden Pages of History” – an event imbued with history, tradition and national pride.
The exhibition offers a journey through the glorious chapters of our nation’s history, from the early days of the Party’s leadership in the struggle for power (1930-1945) to the victories in the resistance wars against French and American forces, and onward to the era of comprehensive national renovation from 1986 to the present. Each image and document on display carries sacred memories and profound lessons, reminding us to honor the past, take pride in the present, and embrace our responsibility for the future.
The exhibition is not only an opportunity to reflect on history, but also a place to arouse patriotism, the desire to contribute, and inspire innovation and creativity in every official, lecturer, and student who are daily contributing to the cause of training the leadership and management personnel of the Party, State, and people.
In particular, within the framework of the exhibition and training course, the introduction of the book “Ho Chi Minh’s Aspiration: Vietnam is independent, free, happy, democratic, prosperous, and powerful” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Dinh Phong will serve as a highlight, reflecting the ideology, ideals, beliefs and aspirations that guide the nation’s development along the path chosen by Uncle Ho and the Party.
