Delegation of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics participates in study, exchange, and training program in the United Kingdom

Pursuant to Decision No. 7235-QĐ/HVCTQG dated 11 November 2025 of the President of the Academy, from 7 to 16 December 2025, a working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice President of the Academy, conducted a study, exchange, and professional training program in the United Kingdom. The working visit was organized within the framework of the 2025 Activity Plan of Project 587, aiming to enhance knowledge sharing and experience exchange with international training institutions and partners.

The delegation undertook academic study and exchange activities at the University of Chichester, a public university in southern England.

The delegation’s professional training program at the University of Chichester took place over three days, focusing on key themes related to the United Kingdom’s practices and experiences, including the main characteristics of the UK’s political and socio-economic system; the legal system and the formulation and implementation of laws; infrastructure development and public investment; the role of scientific and technological development and digital transformation in enhancing leadership and governance capacity; strategies for green economic development and the promotion of green growth; and the recruitment, training, and utilization of civil servants.

Members of the delegation actively engaged in discussions, raised numerous questions, and shared approaches and practical experiences from Viet Nam. Through the working sessions and exchanges, the delegation acquired valuable knowledge and experience in public administration, digital transformation, leadership and management skills, economic development in conjunction with environmental protection, and the development of civil servant capacity.

In his remarks to partners in the United Kingdom, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac underscored the position and role of the HCMA and reaffirmed the significance of international knowledge exchange and experience sharing in sustainable development and the training and professional development of civil servants and public employees, particularly with partners from the United Kingdom - a country renowned for its stable political system, advanced socio-economic development, and highly prestigious education system worldwide.

On the basis of the open and productive exchanges, it is hoped that the cooperative relationship between the HCMA and the University of Chichester, as well as other partners in the United Kingdom will be further expanded with more diverse, effective, and substantive forms of collaboration in the training and professional development of officials, faculty exchanges, the promotion of joint research and scientific publications, and the co-organization of international academic events such as conferences and seminars, particularly in the fields of comparative politics, national governance, and sustainable development.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation laid flowers and paid tribute at the tomb of Karl Marx in London, visited Chetham’s Library - the oldest public library in the United Kingdom which served as a meeting place for Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels during Marx’s visit to Manchester in the summer of 1845. The delegation also paid visits to several leading universities in the United Kingdom, including the University of Manchester and the University of Oxford.

On 15 December 2025, the delegation successfully concluded its training program and working visit in the United Kingdom. The outcomes of the mission were highly practical and beneficial, contributing significantly to enhancing the knowledge, skills, and professional experience of the Academy’s officials and lecturers, as well as those of political schools, particularly in the areas of leadership and management, public policy formulation and implementation, public investment, digital transformation in the administrative system, green economic development, and the recruitment, training, and development of civil servants. At the same time, the visit also helped to further promote cooperative relations between the HCMA and its partners, training institutions, and research organizations in the United Kingdom in the coming period.
