Dr. Dau Tuan Nam, Director of the Department of Training and Professional DevelopmentManagement delivered his remarks

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Dr. Dau Tuan Nam emphasized that the opening of the Advanced Political Theory courses K76 took place in a particularly significant context, as the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam had just officially opened. He noted this vividly demonstrates the close linkage between cadre training and capacity building and the practical requirements of the revolutionary cause in the new stage of national development.

Based on his assessment of the increasingly complex and volatile global and domestic situation, Dr. Dau Tuan Nam affirmed that the task of building a contingent of leaders and managers with firm political resolve, profound theoretical knowledge, strategic thinking, and high moral integrity is of urgent necessity. He stressed that such a contingent cannot emerge spontaneously but must be nurtured through systematic and continuous training and professional development, in which political theory education plays a particularly pivotal role.

Dr. Dau Tuan Nam underscored that the HCMA serves as the national center for the training and capacity building of leaders and managers for Party and State agencies as well as socio-political organizations. He noted that the advanced political theory courses are designed to equip participants with a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge system of Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the Party’s guidelines, and the State’s policies and laws; at the same time, to strengthen their political stance, resolve, and confidence in the revolutionary path chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, while fostering scientific thinking, the ability to synthesize practical experience, and leadership and management skills.

Overview of the opening ceremony

According to Dr. Dau Tuan Nam, the current advanced political theory training program has been systematically structured and refined in a manner that places strong emphasis on discussion, dialogue, and self-directed study; closely integrates theory with practice; and prioritizes innovation in teaching methods and learning assessment, thereby overcoming formalism and ensuring practicality and effectiveness. He stressed that learners should not merely receive knowledge in a one-way manner, but must remain proactive and actively engaged in the processes of research, exchange, and application, while instructors should not only impart knowledge but also serve as facilitators and mentors, guiding participants in theoretical study and the synthesis of practical experience.

Emphasizing the responsibilities of participants, Dr. Dau Tuan Nam noted that being selected to attend the advanced political theory program represents a profound trust and confidence placed by the Party and the people in each cadre. He therefore called upon every participant to uphold a strong sense of responsibility, self-discipline, and seriousness in study and training, strictly comply with the Academy’s rules and regulations, effectively manage their time between learning and professional duties, and remain fully committed to successfully completing the entire program.
